All are welcome to attend a very informative book launch during which several major works will be presented by their authors.
The international book publisher BLACK ROSE BOOKS will be hosting this event with Housmans Bookshop.
Thomas J. Miley teaches political sociology at the University of Cambridge and will be presenting his new book Self-Determination Struggles: In pursuit of the Democratic Confederalist Ideal. The book deals with the philosophy and politics of Abdullah Ocalan, (considered today’s Nelson Mandela), imprisoned on a prison island for some 23 years.
Author Brian Morris, will present his new book Anthropology and Dialectical Naturalism – a Philosophical Manifesto. Morris taught anthropology at Goldsmith for many years.
And Dimitrios Roussopoulos will talk about his Political Ecology – System Change not Climate Change (translated into five languages to date). The book both challenges the contemporary environmental movement while presenting radical alternatives.
Open discussions follow, while refreshments are served.
7pm start. Housmans Bookshop, 5 Caledonian Road, London N1 9DX.
