Every year Housmans Bookshop publishes the world-renowned Housmans Peace Diary. 2023 will be the 70th edition. The diary includes a World Peace Directory listing more than 1400 national and international peace, environmental and human rights organisations from around the world.
The diary is a non-profit service to movements around the world working for peace, social justice and the environment. It’s in pocket format, with a week to a view, and gives notable dates and anniversaries as well as a weekly quotation.
Might you be interested in helping with the production of the Housmans Peace Diary?
One particular job which needs doing is sourcing 50 or so peace-related quotations for use in the 2023 edition. If you could take on some at least of this task, the volunteer who co-ordinates the production of the Peace Diary would explain the criteria to be taken into account when researching and finding potential quotations. The degree of involvement of anyone offering to help is of course negotiable – so don’t hold back if you’re interested, but uncertain about taking on the whole quotations job!
